Dr. Byung-Jun Yoon and Dr. Sung Il Park will jointly give a tutorial at the 50th IEEE International Symposium of Circuits and Systems (ISCAS 2017). ISCAS is the world’s premier networking and exchange forum for leading researchers in the highly active fields of theory, design and implementation of circuits and systems. This meeting will focus on the connection from Dreams to Innovation, with the aim of cultivating creative research-driven Ideas in Circuits and Systems as they transition to Innovations and fuel economic development. ISCAS 2017 will be held in Baltimore, MD, May 28-31, 2017.
The tutorial is entitled “Soft Wireless Bioelectronics and Signal Processing for Hacking Nervous System: Opportunities and Challenges.” Dr. Sung-Il Park will give an overview of optogenetics and its application to neuroscience & neuroengineering and focus on soft wireless bioelectronics for hacking nervous systems. Following Dr. Park’s presentation, Dr. Yoon will focus on the signal and data processing aspects of neuroscience research and introduce the current challenges and opportunities in the field.
